Miscellaneous Anxiety

A vexing question: Would the Yankees be better off if they dropped the next game to the Angels so they wouldn't be up 3-0 and then, god forbid, lose the next game (w/ Sabathia) and now we've got everyone talking about a another collapse. This horrible thought kept me up for few minutes last night. Maybe just win game 3 by a reasonable score (not 19-.

Just to play devil's advocate for a minute, with the Yankees treating Hughes with kid gloves all year, why does Girardi decide tonight against the Rays to give him the 7th inning with nobody warming up in the bullpen? Why not have Logan up in case he faces Johnson who had already taken him deep earlier in the game. I only say this because it seemed against the grain from how Girardi usually operates with Hughes.
