Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Teixeira has the old A-Rod disease.
Burnett is a chump.
Hopefully we're setting up for a another comeback win.

Mathis really should be the MVP.

Can we curse here too?
Burnett can only pitch at Yankee Stadium -
Against the Yankees or for the Yankees...

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Well, that's not exactly the start I was hoping for. Guess they want to make it one of those dramatic come from behind wins.
By the way, Pete Ricci showed me how to get onto this thing. Glad to be here! Hopefully there's something a bit more exciting to talk about soon...

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
First pitch Molina, nice. I mean you'd be more valuable taking three strikes. At least get that pitch count up. Nice Avatar Mike!

That blows my Ric Flair out of the water... Wooooooo!
It must be Posada's fault. He was still in the dugout when Burnett was trying to pitch

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Big start for us, now we're settling into a frustrating pattern. Need Tex, A-Rod and Matsui to come through tonight.
Burnett may settle down now. Need that big comeback.
Maybe we should get some little league umpires. They couldn't be worse. Damon was safe.

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Are these umps trying to have instant replay instituted next year? or robot umpires?

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Burnett drives me nuts. I'm having sick memories of the 8-0 blowout that Pete, Tommy Corkery and I sat through in the rain at Fenway.

The bad umping is Posada's fault

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Unbelievable on the number of bad calls. I saw earlier that MLB has decreed that the World Series will only have Umps with prior World Series experience. Not sure if that solves the problem. Although, I'd rather have bad call than instant replay.

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
Yeah, instant replay would be a nightmare in baseball. But so is Tim McCarver.

Just in case:
The forecast for the Bronx on Saturday:
Rain and Thunder
Chance of Precip: 90%
How about the brush-back of Torii Spelling?

Re: Game 5 - Getting it Done
A little casual on the rundown AJ. Apparently Molina hasn't practiced the rundown play much either.

That may have been the worst rundown I've ever seen.

The Doyle rule: Two throws on a rundown and never, never get the pitcher involved!
