"I don't know if you realize this, but because of you guys in some ways, I might be at times the most influential player that ever stepped in Yankee Stadium. I can honestly say that," Martinez said.

Hairston in for Swisher over Hinske and Gardner. He's 10-27 lifetime off Pedro. Hinske's not much worse average wise and he has a homerun. Hairston better in the field, though.

I have this feeling that this top of the first is very important for AJ.

Uh oh. I thought this was just a survey. So I started my own game two thread. You can delete the thread if you want.

Is it wrong to teach Ava to say "Who's your daddy?"

I remember when it seemed like we could never get Damon out in a big spot when he was on Boston. Now he's a wet blanket and so is Teixeira. They'll get him though, he's throwing meatballs.

Don't worry BuckCarver when they start mashing him, the chant will get loud.

All right -- this is personal now. An Indian guy that I worked with stopped by my office to tell me that the Yankees don't have a chance. This is a guy that doesn't know a baseball bat from a wicket. I'm not even sure if he knows what a wicket is but he knows with absolute certainty the "his" Phillies are the "best."
The baseball gods cannot let this sacrilege stand!

Well that's it, the Yankees can't possibly comeback.

Alright Matsui got us going. Hope A-Rod has not fallen back into his familiar Post Season pattern. That's four strikeouts in a row, isn't it.
